In the IT Manager's Apps and Tools section of the Installers page of our web site, you will find the CreateImportXLSX App.


This is a simple application that will recurse down your folder structures looking for folders that contain EML or MSG files. It will then create an XLSX file.



Column B  in the resulting XLSX will list all the folders that contain emails. It tries to then extract the Location name from those paths which it puts in column A.


In the example below, you can see that the Bush Lane and Dove Court projects each have sub-folders for emails based on the subject matter, so it has made its best guess at a sensible location name for each of those, whereas for the subsequent projects that only have one email folder for each project, it didn't need to use other parts of the paths to make sure they are uniquely named.


It won't always get the Location name right, so be sure to check the output.


You can then use this when importing with the Bulk Importer.
