A Group is a list of users. 


Groups provide a convenient way to manage access rights to Locations both for filing and searching. 


For example you may want to ensure that messages relating to corporate finance are only accessible to finance directors and the main board. To achieve this you would create a filing Location for Corporate Finance and on the Locations tab make it accessible to the Groups 'Main Board' and 'Finance Directors'. Not only does this ensure that these people have sole access to this content, it also means that any director who ceases to be a Main Board director will automatically cease to have access to this Location.


Groups can only be edited by Managers and Administrators.
